Hello everybody! First of all, I must say that I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far in this board. There's no way that I could afford the SMS detail kit (very unfortunately). (My main area of specialty is Formula 1.) I really admire the (sometimes insane, God bless you) level of detailing. While lurking about, I saw some reference pictures that reminded me of a book I have on various race cars, including the 935 (in its various incarnations). I decided to scan them all and to upload them into the directory below. I'm not sure how long they'll stay there, so grab them while you can. Some are just pictures of the car (portraits/on track/etc.), including some alternate versions/sponsors. Others are detail pictures of various bits. I hope they prove useful. I've included a scan of an X-Ray painting of the car, despite the fact that it has already been uploaded to another thread. Why? Because I noticed some subtle differences in the paintings, especially around the engine cooling fan. I thought this might be a variation of the car which might help somebody. Anyway, here's the URL of the directory with the pictures: wolfwr1.free.fr/html/pics/935/Let me know if they're of any use to you. Good luck building 'em!!! Jeep, Yourposting was excellent! The photos answered a few questions for me. But did anyone notice the Injector pump and water pump at the rear of the car?Not the front as in the kit. Which book did you get the photos from? Steve

Thank you for your kind words about my pictures. Glad they're proving useful. As for the source of the pictures, they came from a French book called "Le Grand Livre des Bolides de Légende", published by "Éditions Atlas" in 1996. For each car, the book includes 6 pages of text/history and pictures (portraits/on track/detail), and one four-page foldout with studio pictures of the car (front, rear, sides, top). The cars covered are: BRM V16 (1950-1951), Maserati 250F, Jaguar Type D, Maserati Birdcage, Ferrari 250 GTO, Lotus 49, Porsche 935, Lotus 78/79, Ferrari 312T4, Porsche 956/962, Williams FW09, Jaguar XJR-9LM and McLaren MP4/4. (And it was on sale! :-) ) Actually, I just realized that I forgot one picture of the left side of the car with some body panels off. It's a little dark, but I have now scanned and uploaded it.
