I just joined the site and really like what i've been able to see so far. I understand a lot of the pics that have been posted aren't viewable right now, but I hope that hasn't made everyone leave. I only see a few posts within the past several months.
I have built both the Tamiya 934 and 935 kits, but sure wish I had some of the reference pics and/or the big detail kit at the time. They are nice, but not what they could have been.
I'm now building the Entex 1/8 935 kit. It needs some corrections here and there, but is a real diamond to be polished up. I do have a considerable number of pics for reference, but will wait until the site is able to accept them.

This group is not very active. I check in every month or so just to see if anything new has been contributed.

There are still a few of us out here(membershipwise) I don't know how many are still active as contributors are as active still building. I am still building both a 934 and 935 but get to work on them seldom as I have other more lucrative projects going on. I do however,access the site everday

Hi, I usually have a look every couple of days to see if anythings new. Not started the 935 yet but really appreciate the tips on the site. After a long period of building nothing, I am now building 2 1/12 Tamiya bikes and enjoying every minute. I must finish these before starting another... I have never heard of the Entex 1/8 935, have you any more details? Geoff

Geoff;
The official name of the Entex 935 kit is: Porsche Carrera RSR Turbo 935. At 1/8 scale it is a monster for a normal display case, but quite stunning because of that size. I have some pics of various components in progress, but only on CD right now (I'm switching to a MAC and haven't got everything reloaded). Most of the parts are quite good, but there are some mistakes in the original manufacturing of it. I have had to scratchbuild a proper fan shroud for the horizontal (top mount) fan; and the alternator/fan drive bracket and housing is a strange representation of a setup I have only seen on one RSR. There's lots of room for detailing and fabrication, but hardly any aftermarket parts to be had. The only "serious" shortcoming of the kit is that the body is a little uneven in places and must be smoothed out. Of course, if a 'raced' version is made the car would be expected to have some dings, dents, or bumpy panels anyway. It is one of the most rare of the large scale kits. A complete kit with good decals will probably bring north of $7-800 these days.....if one comes up for sale. I've never seen one built at a contest or show in the past 20 years.

I too have just joined this forum as I bought an Entex / Edai Porsche Carrera RSR Turbo 935 kit from America. Don't ask how much!! I had bought the Grip version back in 1973 and made several attempts and starting it and trying to finish it. Finally selling it about 4 years ago on eBay for £200. So here I am, back with another one coming over from Chicago. I also found someone selling some bits of the same model so I snapped them up. Wheels, tyres, seat, steering wheel, one front shock absorber and the main body work. And then I found another one in Miami! Complete but no box. I figure no box isn't the end of the world.
So I'm waiting for this big box to arrive plus a heafty bill from Customs and Excise for import duty. Can't wait to see it but then considering how much I paid for it, I'm fearful of building it badly. Had a terrible time with the last one, the transfers over the rear wheel arches were a pain. In the end I re-cut by hand, all new red vinyl panels and bought ultra thin/narrow pinstriping tape and applied them individually by hand. Took a while but it was worth it.
As for the real cars, there is one appearing at Mallory Park in March, I think. So get on down.
Be good to hear from other builders of these awesome kits. I'm viewing this on a Mac and can't see any pictures that have been loaded up.
