HI All, I am no expert builder - just got back into the hobby 2 winters back after about a 25 year hiatus, but this is one great kit and I thought I would put up a few progress shots along the way. Couple of tips: 1) Don't use the kit plug wires as they are not scale and will not work well with the SMS wire looms 2) Test fit the rear engine brace (the part that the heat shield attaches to) when you install the pulleys because some adjustment will be necessary (I used my dremel to remove some of the plastic from the backside of the brace to make room for the pulley

Aloha Ken, Love the engine photos, just starting my car. I wondered about the plug wires, they don't seem to fit the distributer either. What did you use? Joszajca Honolulu

Thanks for the tip!! I just checked everything out and noticed the close fit. I sent a photo off to Tim with my solution. Hopefully he can get it on the site soon. I just removed most of the brace and added a piece. It won't show since it is under the heat sheld. Be sure that you reinforce the Turbo mount braket as well, so you get it all square. I just love all the tips everyone is giving on this board. Saves a lot of frustration and unpleasant suprises. Thanks to everyone who is participating!! Pete J.

Pete, First let me say what an excellent job you did on your 935! I have been working on mine for about three months and would like to know how you made the great looking hose clamps for the turbo system. Thanks.

Hi Steve - Really quite simple. I used the left over fret from some of the photoetched. Cut to length, glued in place. Then glue a small piece of wire to emulate the tightening screw and add a photoetched screw head to finish it off. Good luck

Thanks tony935
I have viewed your photos. Your model looks great so far. I'm curious what comes next. The tank is only possible with a sponge on the Tamiya Smoke was dabbed it is. Very easy. Shame that this board is so wehnig visited and most pictures are no longer open.
See You Martin

Hi Martin,
These pictures are not mine...I still have to start the Project. Currently I am building the Pocher Ferrari F40 with the Autograph transkit. Probably the porsche with the SMS TK will be next.
I think that the forum is visited not so often because the SMS kit is sold out and for this forum there is no refernce at the SMS site...I stumbled on this forum by accident.

Hi tony
What you just build the car with Earl F40 Trans Kit. Genial. I have with the car Innhaber Graf made some shops and find him quite inordnung.Ich also have some models of Pocher zb.Porsche 911; Mercedes 540K Alfa Romeo Spider Touring partially finished and cut. The Rolls Royce Phantom II (K/75) Pocher true of the first I built and this is also the only model to which I now sold habe.Kannst you pictures of my F40 mail? If not, the kit would be so expensive, I would arrange one for an original kit of the F40 model would be in my shop around the corner yet to have.
So wish you good success

Hi Martin, This is a picture of the model how it looks like today I will finish it in approximately 4 or 5 weeks. Than I spent around 600 hours on building the car. Ich habe ihre letze Bericht nicht ganz gut verstanden. Ist es möglich um das hier nochmals in Deutsch zu schrieben? Dan kann ich reagieren (I did not understand your last message completely. Is it possible to wite down again in German. Than I can respond)
