I was trying out the deck hinges and relised that the kit window is the hinge retaining pieces. Because I'm not using the kit glass and all glass except the windshield are going in from the outside, I had to moch it up to get an idea of what needed to be done to make them work. Once mocked up, I came to the conclusion that they didn't fit worth a darn right from Tamiya. (old kit blues I suppose) So I might or might not use the deck lid hinges. I know Pete didn't use them but they were part of the car. Acuracy or insanity? One must ponder over more beer! Paul

Paul - You are partially correct on the hinges. I used the arms as they are nessesary to locate the top part of the deck. I did not use the rear "glass" plastic and it's attendant hinge parts, because(I hate to admit it) I lost the d**n piece. Yea, I know, kind of big to get lost in the carpet, but it happended. I also discovered that you will probably want to remove the rear deck cover. You can't see the engine worth a darn with the cover on. Doesn't see fair to do all that work on an high detail engine and then hide it deep in the recesses of the body work. Pete
